Apostle Mary Banks

Known to the Body of Christ as The Bible Teacher. Fifty-five years of teaching the Word, line upon line, to the Church and to the nations.

Apostle Mary Banks

Her life

From a farm town to the nations.

Mary Banks is an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ. She is the founder of Bible Teachers International Worship Centers, Lifesavers International, Sons Training, the Bible Teachers Global Training Centers, the Mary Banks Faith Library and Bible Theater International, now reaching the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, India, Africa and Europe.

She grew up one of thirteen children in a Florida farmworker town and first heard the call of God at nine years old. Years later, already running her own accounting firms, a restaurant and a contracting company, she came back to the Lord with everything she had. She closed her businesses in a single day and went to the street corners to preach.

Her revelation did not come from a classroom. In her words it came from a face to face visitation from the Lord, and a charge: to go to the church and bring God's people out of ignorance. That charge became her life's work. Recognized as The Bible Teacher, she has written many books, study guides and courses that bring a sure word to the Church and to the world.

She has also penned, produced and directed stage productions such as Amazing Grace and The Potter's House, and her first feature film, The King Is Born. Through Lifesavers International she has touched the hearts of thousands held captive by crack cocaine, depression, alcoholism, unforgiveness and lives without purpose.

Apostle Banks makes her home in Leesburg, Florida, where she gives apostolic covering to the Bible Teachers International churches, ordains and installs leaders, and teaches week after week, as she has for fifty-five years.

The commission

“Just as I sent Moses into Egypt to deliver my people out of bondage, I am sending you to the church to bring my people out of ignorance.”

The wagon

A vision come to fruition.

“I was struggling to push this wagon up that mountain. It was loaded down, and I alone was pushing. After a while a young man stepped out of the crowd, put his hands on the wagon and started pushing it up the hill. I've lived to see this vision come to fruition.”
